Soil genesis, commonly termed pedogenesis, is the complex process by which soils are formed. This continuous transformation involves the engagement of numerous factors, including weather, topography, parent material, biomass, and time. These components act in a coordinated manner to shape the physical, chemical, and biological properties of soil.
